Account Executive managing strategic customer segments for ChemPoint in the chemical, ingredient, and industrial finished products industry. Using consultative sales to develop partnerships and provide solutions.
Responsibilities
Manage a territory of accounts consisting of ChemPoint’s most strategic customer segments.
Forecast customer demand, execute strategies to address competitive situations, and implement ChemPoint marketing plans.
Work closely with Industry Representatives on secured accounts of existing customers.
Partner with and manage a sub-distribution network in the MRO/Industrial Finished Products (IFP) space.
Uncover and evaluate customer needs and use financial analysis to develop solutions.
Conduct targeted prospecting using a variety of resources.
Requirements
Four-year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, business or other related discipline.
Three or more years of strategic account management experience (chemical sales experience is a plus).
Formal sales training or equivalent experience in consultative sales.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required.
CRM and/or other database experience highly desired.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with a wide variety of personality types.
Proactive, positive team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges.
Goal-oriented with entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred experience working with distribution or sub-distribution networks and/or MRO/Industrial Finished Products (IFP) environments.
