- Installation Manager role at GE Vernova focusing on technical leadership for wind turbine installation in the ANZ region. Overseeing project readiness, efficiency, and supporting technical teams across the region.
Responsibilities
- be an integral part of the APAC Field Operations department
- supporting and providing technical leadership for project delivery in the ANZ region
- oversee the construction and installation readiness
- ensure operational efficiency for projects within ANZ
- implement installation processes and tools while coordinating the training of technical teams across ANZ
- report to Project Technical Advisors (TAs)
- responsible for training and performance monitoring
- stay well-versed in project schedules and delivery details
- offer support to site construction managers and project managers
- ensure excellence in EHS performance
- manage engineering escalations and PAC cases
- provide external customer support
- maintain technical oversight
- travel between projects is a requirement
- occasional presence in the Melbourne office is required
- contribute to install/training efforts within the broader APAC region as needed
- collaborate with the Asia Installation Manager and Field Operations Leader
Requirements
- Industry recognized Qualification in Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrated trade or heavy lift experience
- Relevant Product & EHS training certifications
- Standard industry safety training (GWO)
- Valid Medical cert
- Valid Drivers License
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in wind turbine installation and construction, with a proven track record of successful project completions and leadership
- 48 months demonstrated Supervisory experience- managing a team of 5 or more direct staff
- In-depth knowledge of wind turbine technology, components, and assembly processes
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Safety-focused mindset with a comprehensive understanding of industry safety standards and protocols
- Must have intermediate level in computer skills (MS OFFICE)
