Responsibilities
Own end-to-end transportation operations for North America, covering inbound, outbound, and inter-site flows
Lead a team responsible for FTL, LTL, Parcel, and fleet shipments, ensuring seamless execution and high service levels
Develop and execute carrier sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage carrier relationships
Establish rate structures, service commitments, and performance scorecards
Oversee shipment creation, carrier selection, and tendering processes using TMS and manual workflows
Implement and manage real-time tracking, exception management, and customer communication protocols
Lead centralized freight audit and payment processes, ensuring invoice accuracy, dispute resolution, and timely settlement
Develop and monitor transportation KPIs (OTD, OTIF, cost per lane, dispute cycle time)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or related discipline
10+ years of transportation or logistics management experience, in multi-site manufacturing or distribution environments
Expertise in FTL, LTL, Parcel, and fleet operations
Strong working knowledge of transportation procurement, freight audit & pay processes, and TMS/ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Demonstrated success leading teams that include both direct reports and matrixed site-based personnel
Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
Proven ability to operate in execution-heavy, fast-paced environments.
