- Leading Enterprise Architecture & Technology Strategy at Pepperstone, a transformative global fintech. Responsible for architecture vision and platform evolution in a dynamic trading environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead our Enterprise Architecture function and define how technology drives outcomes across our global business
- Set the vision, principles and guardrails that guide how we build, integrate and evolve our platforms
- Embed solution and domain architecture into product streams to support empowerment, speed to market and strong alignment with enterprise goals
- Define and own our enterprise architecture vision, principles and multi-year roadmaps
- Create and maintain reference architectures and capability models across applications, data and technology
- Establish and enforce architecture governance, standards and patterns
- Provide oversight of non-functional requirements, technology risk assessments and platform strategy
- Review and approve solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise direction
- Coach, mentor and develop a global team of enterprise, solution and domain architects
- Lead build vs buy decisions, technology selections and platform rationalisation
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Security, Operations, Compliance and Finance
- Translate complex technical decisions into clear and compelling business narratives
- Evaluate emerging technologies and lead strategic proof-of-concepts
- Maintain registers for enterprise decisions and technical debt
Requirements
- 10+ years in architecture roles, including 5+ years in architecture leadership (ideally in regulated financial services or fintech)
- Understanding of CFDs and/or crypto trading technology (highly desirable)
- Deep expertise across cloud platforms (preferably AWS), modern engineering practices and scalable architectures
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, data governance, API and integration patterns, streaming/event pipelines
- Experience embedding security, resilience and compliance into solution lifecycles
- Strength in systems-level thinking, long-term roadmap ownership and reference modelling
- Exceptional communication and executive storytelling skills
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead complex decision-making
- Experience leading architects in a product-led, agile environment
