Responsibilities
The Senior Enterprise Architect (EA) plays a critical role in shaping and advancing the organization's technology vision
Reporting to the VP of IT Infrastructure, Operations & Enterprise Architecture
Ensures that business-driven product initiatives are delivered quickly without compromising enterprise standards, scalability, security, or architectural coherence
Establishes the architectural guardrails and decision frameworks that allow teams to move fast while avoiding fragmentation, technical debt, and parallel platforms
Creates and maintains enterprise architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and implementation plans aligned to business and product strategy
Defines and maintains architecture standards, frameworks, patterns, and technology policies that enable innovation while ensuring enterprise consistency
Provides architectural guidance that supports rapid product experimentation and delivery within approved enterprise guardrails
Works closely with embedded Product Managers aligned to the organization's practices
Serves as a connector between business stakeholders, Embedded Product Managers, IT Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, and platform teams
Translates business needs into architectural options, tradeoffs, and implications
Owns and manages the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and embeds architecture governance into product discovery and delivery
Requirements
10+ years of enterprise or solution architecture experience
Practical experience with AI-enabled solutions, including generative AI
Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, privacy, and security
Experience evaluating build vs. buy vs. platform decisions
Familiarity with Responsible AI principles
Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
Experience in insurance, brokerage, or financial services strongly preferred (preferred)
6–8+ years of experience across multiple disciplines including solution/technical architecture, application development, integration/middleware, information analysis, database management, or operations in a multi-tier environment (preferred)
Strong understanding of multi-platform hardware and software technologies (preferred)
