Responsibilities
- The Senior Enterprise Architect (EA) plays a critical role in shaping and advancing the organization's technology vision
- Reporting to the VP of IT Infrastructure, Operations & Enterprise Architecture
- Ensures that business-driven product initiatives are delivered quickly without compromising enterprise standards, scalability, security, or architectural coherence
- Establishes the architectural guardrails and decision frameworks that allow teams to move fast while avoiding fragmentation, technical debt, and parallel platforms
- Creates and maintains enterprise architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and implementation plans aligned to business and product strategy
- Defines and maintains architecture standards, frameworks, patterns, and technology policies that enable innovation while ensuring enterprise consistency
- Provides architectural guidance that supports rapid product experimentation and delivery within approved enterprise guardrails
- Works closely with embedded Product Managers aligned to the organization's practices
- Serves as a connector between business stakeholders, Embedded Product Managers, IT Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, and platform teams
- Translates business needs into architectural options, tradeoffs, and implications
- Owns and manages the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and embeds architecture governance into product discovery and delivery
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise or solution architecture experience
- Practical experience with AI-enabled solutions, including generative AI
- Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, privacy, and security
- Experience evaluating build vs. buy vs. platform decisions
- Familiarity with Responsible AI principles
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
- Experience in insurance, brokerage, or financial services strongly preferred (preferred)
- 6–8+ years of experience across multiple disciplines including solution/technical architecture, application development, integration/middleware, information analysis, database management, or operations in a multi-tier environment (preferred)
- Strong understanding of multi-platform hardware and software technologies (preferred)
