Junior IT Specialist maintaining health and reliability of Plum’s daily IT operations. Providing end-user support, managing IT assets, and contributing to project rollouts in a hybrid workplace.
Responsibilities
Execute the end-to-end setup for new employees and external partners, ensuring all laptops, peripherals, and software are configured to Plum’s standards.
Act as the first point of contact for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
Help upgrade and maintain meeting room AV setups, providing immediate troubleshooting for connectivity or hardware failures.
Regularly monitor system and network performance tools; troubleshoot connectivity issues and escalate complex outages to the Senior IT Administrator when necessary.
Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets; track hardware lifecycles and assist in the procurement process for new equipment and software licenses.
Maintain a strict "document everything" policy, ensuring every system change or upgrade.
Administer user accounts and profiles across various platforms; handle the technical execution of employee onboarding/offboarding and participate in periodic access reviews.
Assist in day-to-day security operations by applying patches and system hardening guidelines; maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for IT processes.
Support IT audits by gathering necessary logs and data; ensure all local workstations and user activities align with established IT policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Bonus points for industry-recognized certifications.
At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in an IT support role.
Deep understanding of IT principles, standards, and best practices.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle IT challenges.
Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
