About the role
- Audit Manager leading multiple audit, review, and compilation engagements for Abdo's Business Audit team. Cultivating client relationships and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple complex audit, review, and compilation engagements (including EBP audits) from proposal through final presentation to client leadership
- Meet with prospective and existing clients to understand needs, scope engagements, and prepare and present proposals and audit results
- Set engagement timelines and staffing plans; delegate work and oversee workflow to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery
- Review and finalize workpapers and audit documentation in accordance with professional and firm standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Manage, develop, and train staff; contribute to off‑season training and implementation of new accounting and auditing standards
- Oversee time reporting, billing, WIP, and collections for assigned clients, meeting firm realization and billing goals
- Exercise discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential client information
- Drive firm growth by building client relationships, identifying additional service opportunities, and engaging in networking and other business development activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 5-8 years experience in audit
- Experience in review and compilation engagements
- CPA required
- Experience in construction, real estate, manufacturing, and professional services industries preferred
- Strong quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills, with a focus on improvement and automation
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
