People & Capability Advisory Team Leader managing HR advisory processes for Kmart Group. Leading a team to provide high-quality HR advice and compliance oversight.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and support the Tier 1 Advisory team to deliver high‑quality, consistent HR advice.
Oversee workplace matters and case management, acting as the escalation point for complex or sensitive issues.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies, and governance frameworks.
Monitor case trends, risks, and performance metrics, providing insights and reporting to senior leaders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including policy refinement, process optimisation, and capability uplift.
Support the delivery of HR projects, change initiatives, and advisory service enhancements.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration across P&C and the wider business.
Promote a culture of learning, knowledge sharing, and high performance within the team.
Requirements
A Diploma in HR or a related discipline (Advanced Diploma or postgraduate study highly regarded).
3–5 years’ experience in HR, employee relations, or advisory roles, ideally at a senior or specialist level.
Strong knowledge of employment law, industrial relations, and case management processes.
Demonstrated leadership capability, including coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
Experience managing complex workplace issues, investigations, and dispute resolution.
Proficiency with cloud‑based HR systems, particularly SuccessFactors, and case management platforms.
Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Excel or Power BI to interpret trends and performance data.
Experience leading or contributing to HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives, or change management activities.
