About the role
- Senior Projects and Partnerships Support Officer managing grants for humanitarian NGO IMPACT in Ethiopia. Role involves stakeholder analysis, fundraisng, and project proposal development.
Responsibilities
- Support the identification, development and management of grants within the mission.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and identify funding opportunities.
- Lead collaboration with IMPACT’s sister organization Acted on project development and grants management.
- Coordinate project proposal planning and prepare fundraising documents.
- Review and negotiate proposals and/or contracts with donors.
- Ensure timely completion of grant-related processes and follow up on project implementation.
- Oversee the preparation of high-quality project narratives and monitoring & evaluation (M&E) reports.
- Support the formalization of IMPACT’s hosting partner for the project.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.
- Experience in humanitarian settings and prior management experience are highly desirable.
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (International Relations, Political Science, Social Research, Economics, Development Studies, Project Development, Fundraising, or similar).
- Proven experience in positioning and fundraising, grants management, and monitoring and evaluation.
- Familiarity with the humanitarian coordination system and an understanding of donor and government requirements.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills for effective reporting.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong coordination, organization, and planning skills, with the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Ability to operate in a multicultural environment and adapt with flexibility.
- Experience in Ethiopia or the region is an asset.
- Fluency in English required.
