About the role

  • Manager of Statistical Programming leading a team at ICON plc, overseeing statistical programming activities and ensuring quality outcomes in clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • You will manage day-to-day statistical programming activities, supporting your team to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Overseeing the programming activities related to clinical trial data, including the creation of statistical analysis plans, datasets, and tables, listings, and figures (TLFs).
  • Managing and mentoring a team of statistical programmers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Collaborating with biostatisticians and clinical teams to ensure alignment of programming activities with study objectives and timelines.
  • Reviewing and validating programming outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Staying updated on industry best practices and advancements in statistical programming tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience in statistical programming within clinical research, with a strong knowledge of programming languages such as SAS or R.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing programming teams and overseeing project deliverables.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex statistical concepts effectively.
  • A commitment to quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within the statistical programming function.
