Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of a multi-shift manufacturing facility of approximately 120 employees, ensuring production, quality, and shipping targets are achieved
Lead and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
Act as the primary point of contact for labour relations, building and maintaining effective relationships within a unionized environment
Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and drive operational efficiencies
Implement continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and 5S methodologies, to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Develop and support leadership capability within the plant through coaching, mentorship, and performance management
Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all teams
Requirements
8+ years of progressive leadership experience within a large manufacturing environment
Proven experience managing labour relations in a unionized setting
Strong background in chemical processing, fibre, or a related heavy industrial sector
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Operations, Business Management, or a related field
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive operational and cultural change.
