About the role

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of a multi-shift manufacturing facility of approximately 120 employees, ensuring production, quality, and shipping targets are achieved
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
- Act as the primary point of contact for labour relations, building and maintaining effective relationships within a unionized environment
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and drive operational efficiencies
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and 5S methodologies, to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Develop and support leadership capability within the plant through coaching, mentorship, and performance management
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all teams
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience within a large manufacturing environment
- Proven experience managing labour relations in a unionized setting
- Strong background in chemical processing, fibre, or a related heavy industrial sector
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Operations, Business Management, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive operational and cultural change.
