Senior HR Manager overseeing HR functions for Huhtamaki in the Netherlands. Responsible for strategic and operational HR leadership for approximately 550 employees.
Responsibilities
Full HR ownership for The Netherlands
Overall responsibility for all HR-related matters for approximately 550 employees
Active member of the local Management Team, acting as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to site leadership
First point of contact for HR matters for managers and the management team
Ensuring consistent application of HR policies, processes and practices across the Dutch locations
Strong on-site presence, with specific attention to Franeker, where HR plays a key role in stabilisation, leadership strengthening and cultural development
Leading and supporting organizational change and transformation initiatives
Proactively identifying people-related risks and addressing them effectively
Translating and implementing global HR strategies into a compliant and practical Dutch context
Ensuring full compliance with Dutch labour law and regulations
Leading consultation processes with the Works Council
Further strengthening HR processes and data-driven decision-making through Workday
Managing the HR team in The Netherlands (total of 4) and international stakeholders
Requirements
Extensive experience in a senior HR role, preferably within an industrial, production or technology-driven environment
Proven experience with leading a team and creating a team spirit
Strong business acumen, able to translate business needs into impactful HR solutions
Deep and up-to-date knowledge of Dutch labour law, employee relations and works council processes
Demonstrated experience in organisational change, culture and engagement
The ability to comfortably switch between strategic, tactical and hands-on operational levels
Excellent communication skills, credibility and influencing ability
A collaborative mindset, resilience, pragmatism and a sense of humour
