Responsibilities
Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring for stylist and support roles.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create sourcing plans.
Source candidates through online platforms, job fairs, networking events, and direct outreach.
Support and help facilitate technical auditions for stylists, ensuring candidates meet skill requirements (training provided).
Coordinate and attend in-person hiring events and cohort sessions.
Build and maintain partnerships with cosmetology schools and alumni networks.
Maintain accurate applicant tracking and status updates using Workable (ATS).
Ensure a high-touch, positive candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.
Promote the Pressed Roots employer brand across social media and networking platforms.
Ensure all recruiting activities align with state and federal employment law.
Assist with administrative duties related to recruiting and onboarding as needed.
Conduct reference checks and background screenings as needed.
Continuously improve recruiting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
1–2 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or a customer service-facing role (experience in beauty, retail, or hospitality is a plus).
Based in Texas with reliable transportation to visit salons and attend events in Dallas, Plano, Arlington, and occasionally Houston.
Must be comfortable working a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with recruiting platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, and ATS systems (Workable preferred) or other computer systems.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Comfortable learning new systems, receiving feedback, and working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
