About the role

  • Key Account Manager managing physical music distribution through retail and e-commerce channels. Driving revenue growth and strategic sales initiatives in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue responsibility: You are responsible for the sales and financial results of your physical key accounts and manage all activities to sustainably increase sales.
  • Sales strategy: You develop innovative go-to-market strategies across all channels and initiate product collaborations and targeted sales initiatives to keep our content consistently visible in retail.
  • Commercial insights & data: You analyze sell-through figures, market shares and product performance — not just as reporting, but as a compass for smart optimizations. Through continuous reporting and a constant eye on competitors, you anticipate market trends early and proactively steer our sales performance to success.
  • Partnership & networking: You maintain relationships with key accounts, present release highlights and strategies on an equal footing, and confidently negotiate terms, promotions and purchase quantities.
  • Collaboration & advisory: As an interface, you interact with marketing, labels, logistics and our international teams. You actively support our teams with your market input for assessments and innovative product development.

Requirements

  • Commercial drive: You have a degree (business administration, economics, communication) or a commercial vocational qualification and relevant experience in account management or sales.
  • Future-proof mindset: You develop visions for the retail of tomorrow and are never satisfied with the status quo.
  • Negotiation power: You confidently manage margins, terms and KPIs and convince your counterparts with proactivity, efficiency and negotiating skill.
  • Storytelling: Whether in annual reviews or internal meetings — you communicate clearly and persuasively in German and English.
  • Solution-oriented & calm: When challenges arise, you are already part of the solution.
  • Analytical power & market expertise: You have solid industry knowledge and make data-driven decisions with a clear commercial perspective.
  • You are comfortable with structured analyses and monitoring.
  • Hands-on & strategic: You can design long-term retail strategy and also keep a firm grip on day-to-day project management, appointments and supply chains.
