Senior Account Executive at Personio driving new customer acquisition in public sector. Leading growth initiatives in a rapidly expanding HR technology market.
Responsibilities
Acquire new customers in the Public Sector Germany team, one of Personio’s fastest-growing segments — with monthly sales targets, OTI, and accelerators for exceeding targets.
Significant opportunity to scale the public sector from several hundred to thousands of customers, offering exciting development and career prospects.
Build and qualify a pipeline in close coordination with the dedicated marketing and sales development team.
Receive strong support from Personio leadership for this prioritized sector, including a specialized legal team (e.g., for tenders and EVB-IT Cloud) and dedicated solution engineers.
Manage the full sales cycle — from a qualified opportunity to contract signature, followed by handover to our account management team.
Conduct in-depth qualification of the customer’s situation across HR and the wider organization, and develop the business case for Personio.
Own external stakeholder management, primarily with HR, IT, project management, procurement offices, external consultants, legal teams, and C-level executives.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in new customer acquisition for B2B SaaS or B2B software solutions, including at least 3 years focused on the public sector.
Proven experience with complex software procurement and tender processes for organizations with more than 500 employees.
Passion for the digitalization of the public sector.
Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help shape and scale the public sector practice and willingness to explore new approaches.
Excellent qualification skills, able to identify needs at both the functional level (HR) and the organizational level.
Completed high-quality sales training, ideally using the MEDDIC framework.
Self-motivated and committed to continuous personal improvement.
