Responsibilities
Performs a variety of registration duties.
Provides access to healthcare by performing various duties in a professional and compassionate manner.
Obtains and enters patient information into the computer-based patient registration/scheduling system.
Collects patient liabilities prior to or on the date of service, as appropriate.
Maintains good interpersonal relationships with peers, patients, visitors, and physicians.
Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements
High school graduate or GED required.
Customer service experience required.
Receives on the job training under close supervision.
Previous clerical and Meditech experience desirable, but not required.
A good understanding of medical terminology helpful.
