HR Coordinator supporting full employee lifecycle and HR initiatives at UJA Federation. Engaging in culture, onboarding new hires, and maintaining HRIS for effective HR operations.
Responsibilities
Support the full employee life cycle ensuring a positive employee experience
Provide day-to-day HR operational support including maintaining employee data in HRIS
Coordinate onboarding process for new hires through sending out paperwork, setting up employee profiles in BambooHR
Assign compliance training to new hires and ensure completion
Maintain confidential employee files, process changes, and ensure HRIS is accurate and up to date
Support recruitment activities through posting roles, screening applicants and scheduling interviews
As a culture ambassador support and engage with internal culture/social events
Requirements
Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years’ relevant work experience
Passionate advocate and visible champion of UJA’s mission, values, and goals
CHRP in progress is an asset
Working knowledge of the Ontario Employment Standards Act and other relevant legislation
Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
Experience with BambooHR and/or other HRIS
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a strong sense for accuracy
Able to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality of all HR information
Self-starter with excellent organizational, prioritizing and time-management skills
