Instructional Designer creating engaging learning experiences for NGL Insurance Company. Designing training materials and supporting learning & development initiatives in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Design and develop training materials including e-learning modules, job aids, quick reference guides, and instructor led content
Apply instructional design best practices and adult learning principles to ensure effectiveness
Tailor content for diverse audiences (internal staff, external agents, partners)
Partner with the Learning & Development Program Lead to prepare facilitators and support training delivery
Ensure materials are optimized for both virtual and in-person sessions
Work closely with subject matter experts to translate technical and process knowledge into learner-friendly content
Support evaluation of training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, and learner feedback
Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or related field required
A minimum of three years of experience in instructional design, preferably supporting large-scale system implementations required
In-depth understanding of instructional design models and learning theories
Experience with OIPA (Oracle Insurance Policy Administration) or similar policy administration platforms is strongly preferred
Strong skills in eLearning development tools (Articulate, Captivate, etc.) and LMS platforms
Ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging learning experiences
Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail
Clear and effective curriculum-planning and development skills
Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
