About the role
- Sales Engineering Manager leading a team to provide tailored technical solutions for Navy, Marine Corps, & Coast Guard sales. Ensuring technical feasibility and driving sales with customer collaboration.
Responsibilities
- work directly with Navy, Marine Corps, & Coast Guard Sales Team
- lead a team of sales engineers to provide technical expertise, product demonstrations, and tailored solutions for prospective customers
- bridge the gap between sales, engineering, and customers
- determine customer communications equipment requirements
- recommend solutions, and provide complete accurate bill of material to meet those solutions
- hire, train, mentor, and manage daily activities of Sales Engineers
- work with Account Managers and customers to identify technical needs, configure solutions, and ensure product alignment with customer requirements
- manage territory schedules for sales meetings and technical demonstrations
- collaborate with Product Management and R&D teams to provide market insights and feedback on product development
- travel 50% CONUS and/or OCONUS
- maintain an active secret clearance
- provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical support for L3Harris products to customers
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Deep technical knowledge of company products
- L3Harris tactical radio experience using HF, VHF, UHF, MANET, & SATCOM waveforms
- Internet Protocol (IP) networking experience
- Systems engineering/integration experience
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Proposal Management, and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes
- Military service, Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard experience a plus
- L3Harris radio operational and/or maintenance experience
- Formal classroom training experience
