Responsibilities
Act as the strategic learning partner for your designated Business Unit
Own the end-to-end design and delivery of training and development solutions
Lead the Licence to Operate (LTO) strategy and Competent Operator Framework for your business area
Design and deliver high-quality technical and leadership development programmes
Manage competency assessments, development centres and professional reviews
Work closely with senior leaders, SMEs and external providers to ensure learning is fit for purpose, future-focused and compliant
Ensure training supports our Organisational Delivery Indicators (ODIs), safety outcomes and regulatory obligations
Manage learning budgets effectively and deliver value for money
Identify emerging risks and capability gaps, and proactively develop solutions
Represent Anglian Water at industry forums and with awarding and accreditation bodies
Act as a role model for innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Operational experience, ideally within water, utilities or a similar regulated environment
Experience in training, learning and development – including competency frameworks
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders
Experience working with external training providers and accreditation bodies
A solid understanding of regulatory, safety and compliance requirements
Project and budget management experience
CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) – or the willingness to work towards it
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Experience in Leading and Motivating a team.
