About the role
- Human Resources Generalist supporting various HR activities at Hydro's Mississauga location. Responsibilities include recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, including preparing job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and orienting new hires
- Administer weekly and biweekly payroll, benefits, and accurate HRIS data entry for all employees
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and management on employee relations issues, policy interpretation, and Collective Agreement application
- Assist with performance appraisals, HR investigations, and third-party disability management, including follow-ups
- Maintain confidential HR records, assist with corporate events, and perform other administrative duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Human Resources Generalist in a unionized, safety-focused manufacturing environment
- University degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
