About the role

  • Head of Growth at Causaly to build and scale growth strategies for an AI-native scientific productivity tool. Driving adoption across pharma, academia, and biotech with ownership of growth metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the growth business: define the growth strategy, KPI stack, operating cadence, and clear stop/scale recommendations.
  • Build the acquisition engine: develop repeatable channel programs (academia, biotech, communities, professional networks) and scale what works.
  • Ship activation that converts: design onboarding and “time-to-value” flows that consistently get users to a first meaningful outcome fast.
  • Create retention loops: build habit-forming mechanics (saved work, templates, alerts, “continue” flows) and improve cohort retention month over month.
  • Drive monetization experiments: packaging and conversion (free→paid), paywalls/credits, pricing tests, and upgrade flows—with clear learning goals.
  • Run high-velocity experimentation: maintain a weekly shipping/testing rhythm across product, lifecycle, and distribution.
  • Own measurement and insight: instrumentation, dashboards, funnel/cohort analysis, and crisp exec/board-ready reporting.
  • Partner on unit economics: work closely with engineering to keep AI costs bounded (quotas/credits) while maximizing “aha before wall.”

Requirements

  • Proven PLG growth operator with ownership of activation/retention/conversion outcomes, ideally on a prosumer product. You have c.5-6 years experience in growth/product-led roles.
  • Strong experimentation DNA (hypotheses → tests → decisions) and a bias to shipping.
  • Lifecycle + retention strength: demonstrated ability to move cohort curves through product and lifecycle work.
  • Monetization experience: packaging/pricing/paywalls/credits (or equivalent) with disciplined learning.
  • Highly analytical: fluent in funnels/cohorts and comfortable owning instrumentation + KPIs.
  • Builder / founder mentality: thrives in 0→1 ambiguity, high autonomy, and end-to-end accountability.
  • AI-native operator: comfortable using modern AI tools to accelerate growth execution and partnering with engineers to ship new hooks fast.
