About the role
- Events Assistant supporting DGA fundraising and events team with administrative tasks and event preparation. This includes managing DGA fundraising events and policy conferences while reporting to the Events Director.
Responsibilities
- Support the entire fundraising and events team through administrative tasks and managing event preparation for in-person and virtual DGA fundraising events and policy conferences
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of DGA’s fundraising programs by supporting the work of all members of the DGA fundraising and events team
- Require frequent travel, including occasional weekend travel
- Directly report to the Events Director
Requirements

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Event organizing experience is a plus
- Willingness to work long and non-traditional work hours, including weekends
- A strong capacity to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with Cvent or other event management platforms is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with MailChimp or other email marketing platforms is preferred but not required
