About the role

  • Pharmacy Technician IV overseeing controlled substance monitoring and opioid stewardship initiatives at UAMS. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and performing analytical functions in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with oversight of highly sensitive, health system-wide controlled substance monitoring and opioid stewardship initiatives
  • Apply knowledge of pharmacy practice, hospital policies/procedures, and regulatory standards involving controlled substances to ensure compliance
  • Complete analytical functions of the controlled substances monitoring system
  • Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding controlled substance discrepancies, training, and education
  • Compile and review reports, performing facility risk rounding, and following up on compliance gaps
  • Maintain a high degree of accurate productivity and performance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED PLUS 4 years of work experience as a pharmacy technician
  • Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy- Pharmacy Technician License
  • 1 year to obtain ASHP/ACPE-accredited technician training or certificate program
  • National Technician Certification (PTCB)
