Responsibilities
Act as the primary link between the Business Development team and the Vice President Business Development, ensuring clear communication and strategic alignment
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Representatives by providing daily operational oversight, training, removing roadblocks, and performance feedback
Maintain a strong understanding of the teams portfolio of existing key customer accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Identify and capitalize on opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts by cross-selling and up-selling multimodal freight solution
Promote strong cross-functional communication across internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer solutions and resolve escalated issues promptly
Stay current on industry trends and customer activity to inform strategy and drive improvements
Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, revenue, customer retention, and pipeline health
Requirements
Minimum of 2-3 years of proven leadership or team management experience.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, mentor, and empower a sales team
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales or account management experience within the freight brokerage or 3PL industry
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry and adapt quickly to changing business needs and market conditions
Comfortable with data, reporting, and metrics to drive performance and accountability
Ability to travel on occasion (less than 10%)
