About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead proposal estimates in coordination with the Hardware Architect and all hardware disciplines
- Define the development approach, assess risks and opportunities, and establish key reviews and deliverables
- Co-develop the hardware solution within the IPT (Integrated Product Team) in partnership with the Hardware Architect
- Capture the initial baseline (technical, programmatic, financial) and ensure its configuration management
- Oversee execution of HW activities from HwOR to FAI within the project
- Draft Statements of Work (SoW) and provide input documentation to subcontractors
- Be responsible for organizing HW milestone reviews
- Ensure upward and downward communication with the IPT and Heads of Department (HoD)
Requirements
- Master's degree (engineering school or equivalent) or PhD in Electronics, Aerospace/Space, or Computer Science
- Significant experience (>10 years) in one or more hardware disciplines and/or in product development
- Ability to manage technical and organizational complexity and influence project strategy
- Knowledge of production activities: procurement, manufacturing, delivery
- Knowledge of avionics products in one of our domains: civil and military flight computers, displays, inertial systems, GNSS, sensors/probes (a plus)
- Familiarity with DO-254/DO-160 certifications, aviation system safety (ARP4761), and ARP4754B
- Fluent written and spoken English
