Responsibilities
Design and implement comprehensive operational risk frameworks and controls to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across critical business processes
Develop and maintain control testing covering design and operating effectiveness of controls and the related operational risk exposures for global financial institutions
Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance risk management workflows, ensuring seamless integration with existing technology infrastructure
Deliver operational resilience plans and related annual testing
Collaborate with technology teams to evaluate and implement AI-driven risk assessment tools and automated monitoring solutions
Conduct risk assessments for new products, services, and technology implementations, providing strategic guidance to senior leadership
Partner with compliance and audit teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices while supporting business growth objectives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field with 3-5 years of operational risk management experience
Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks such as Basel III, COSO, or similar regulatory standards
Experience with risk management platforms and tools such as GRC solutions (ServiceNow, Archer, or MetricStream), risk analytics software, or similar technologies
Proficiency in data analysis tools including SQL, Python, R, or advanced Excel for risk data manipulation and reporting
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex risk concepts into actionable business recommendations
Strong communication skills with experience presenting risk findings to senior management and cross-functional teams
Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), or similar risk management credentials (optional)
Experience with emerging technologies including AI/ML applications in risk management, process automation tools, or advanced analytics platforms (optional)
