About the role
- Senior Cobol Developer integrating legacy systems at Minsait. Handle legacy service development and perform critical system incident analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate services in a legacy environment using COBOL
- Work on data ingestion, including integration with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka)
- Develop services for data capture and processing
- Support data persistence in a historical receipts database
- Create queries and routines for generating receipts
- Model, implement and maintain database structures
- Define and implement communication contracts between legacy systems and new interfaces
- Ensure solution stability, performance and reliability
- Analyze and resolve incidents in critical environments
Requirements
- Strong experience developing with COBOL
- Experience integrating legacy systems
- Experience with database modeling and queries
- Previous work in critical environments, preferably in the financial sector
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field
