About the role

  • Hardware Developer in a hybrid role applying automotive electronics knowledge for telematics solutions. Collaborating with teams to enhance vehicle interactions in Curitiba or São Paulo.

Responsibilities

  • Using a hands-on approach, you will apply your knowledge of automotive electrical/electronic systems, hardware, embedded software and automotive protocols to create safe, accurate, and reliable interactions between our telemetry devices and vehicles.
  • Develop telemetry solutions that account for the specific characteristics of diverse vehicle architectures across different light vehicle models.
  • Visit OEM yards and Localiza branches to perform on-site tests with different versions of light vehicles.
  • Enable the capture of vehicle telemetry data via analog signals, digital signals, or protocol sniffing.
  • Enable electronic device interaction with vehicle actuators via analog/digital signals or protocol-based interaction.
  • Ensure high-quality installation and removal of devices and accessories by internal and third-party teams.
  • Prepare technical reports and diagnostic assessments for non-conformance situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering.
  • Advanced English.
  • Availability for a hybrid work schedule in Curitiba-PR or São Paulo.
  • 3+ years of experience in one of the following segments: automotive accessories, telemetry, connected vehicles, electronic devices or IoT.
  • Knowledge of the CAN/OBD-II protocol and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with databases (SQL, etc.) and data visualization tools (Power BI, etc.).
  • Intermediate-level experience developing automotive test tools, such as test scripts (Python) and firmware for microcontrollers (STM32, development kits, etc.).
  • Intermediate-level knowledge in the design of automotive electrical/electronic components (wiring harnesses, sensors, etc.).
  • Practical and flexible mindset (we are looking for a collaborative, hands-on professional who wants to improve our products and processes).
  • Strong self-management, organizational skills, and creativity to propose new solutions for data capture and interaction with vehicle actuators.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with operators, technicians, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
