About the role
- SAP ERP Intern assisting with implementations and support at Sedgwick, a global risk management firm. Engage in hands-on experience and collaborative projects during a 10-12 week internship.
Responsibilities
- To perform in a support role as defined by the sponsoring department management; to complete non-complex projects as assigned; and to report project results to the Operating Committee at the end of the internship which normally is a 10-12 week period.
- Assist in the configuration and customization of SAP ERP modules.
- Support other system development activities.
- Participate in testing activities, including functional unit testing, system integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and document business processes.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues.
- Identify process related improvement opportunities and propose / recommend solution approaches.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and user documentation.
- Attend team meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Familiarity with business processes and project management methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of SAP ERP and/or database management is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
