Marketing Data Consultant developing marketing data solutions and architectures for Sartorius Stedim Biotech. Leading data projects and collaborating with marketing and IT teams on global initiatives.
Responsibilities
Develop a scalable data architecture for marketing data at Sartorius, define data models, implement and maintain them in marketing and analytics platforms
Take the lead on marketing data in global projects, eg the rollout of a customer data platform (CDP) or a marketing automation platform
Support the marketing teams in requirements engineering and use case definitions
Ensure that marketing data modelling and data implementation is actionable and drives business value in all applications, eg by enhancing dashboard performance, or enabling new marketing techniques
Own the marketing data documentation, develop trainings and train the marketing organization to foster a data driven mindset
Liaise with other business departments (eg, Sales and Product Management) to ensure that all relevant data sources are included in data modelling and insights and benefits are shared across all business processes and departments
Work in close cooperation with marketing teams in both Sartorius divisions (eg, Digital Marketing, Campaign Management, Marketing Strategy) and IT (eg, CRM, Data Platforms & Analytics, Software Development)
Requirements
Master’s Degree in the field of Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration or similar, or alternatively Bachelor’s degree plus relevant professional experience
Proven professional experience in data architecture, data modelling, and data engineering
Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), eg Salesforce Data Cloud or Adobe RTCDP is a must
Data & Analytics Expertise: Snowflake, Tableau, Azure, Databricks, Google Analytics, or similar
Excellent SQL skills, Python beneficial
Marketing Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of data-driven marketing concepts, including customer segmentation, customer journey, identity resolution, and lead generation
Experience with Marketing and Sales platforms highly appreciated, eg Salesforce, Marketo, Marketing Cloud
Great communicator and presenter, able to express complex topics in simple concepts
Sound industry experience in B2B, especially life sciences or complex products with a long sales cycle, B2C experience a plus
Business fluent English spoken and written, German a plus.
