About the role

  • Business Development Manager responsible for growth across India with GRMC Advisory Services. Focus on market research and client relationship management in advisory and consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new business opportunities across India (including Tier 1, Tier 2, and emerging markets) to support the Company’s growth strategy
  • Drive revenue growth by adopting a client-first sales approach and delivering tailored solutions aligned with client needs
  • Conduct sector-specific and industry analysis (e.g., BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, Infrastructure, Technology) to identify high-potential opportunities
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop mid- and long-term business development strategies and support execution to achieve sales targets
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives, thought leadership content, and sales collateral to strengthen the Company’s brand positioning in India
  • Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with clients, positioning the Company as a trusted advisory and consulting partner
  • Identify client needs and proactively recommend research, advisory, and consulting solutions that add measurable value
  • Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and pre-qualification criteria
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, policy changes, and economic developments in India, providing strategic insights to senior management
  • Develop and maintain a robust database of key decision-makers, stakeholders, and upcoming project opportunities across industries
  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients while expanding engagement across new business units and departments
  • Represent the Company at industry events, conferences, seminars, and networking forums to generate leads and enhance brand visibility
  • Review and analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), assessing project scope, feasibility, timelines, profitability, and client credibility
  • Support leadership in the preparation and execution of the Company’s India business plan and growth strategy
  • Drive go-to-market strategies and support the launch of new service offerings within the Indian market
  • Manage sales pipeline, track opportunities, and provide accurate sales forecasts
  • Lead new business acquisition efforts, including engaging with corporate clients, government bodies, and institutional stakeholders
  • Coordinate and manage project onboarding for new clients, ensuring smooth transition from sales to delivery teams
  • Oversee multiple proposal processes simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions
  • Maintain strong client engagement throughout the project lifecycle and post-completion, proactively resolving issues related to scope, timelines, cost, and deliverables
  • Attend client meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure alignment and high client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5–10 years of experience in business development, preferably in market research, consulting, or advisory services
  • Strong understanding of the Indian business landscape and key industry sectors
  • Proven track record in sales, client acquisition, and revenue generation
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
