About the role

  • Account Manager at Pennylane, focusing on customer engagement and retention in financial management solutions. Aiding clients' growth through upselling and service improvements while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

  • The role of Account Manager positions you as a Pennylane expert and places you at the heart of the customer experience.
  • Your objective is to ensure our customer base grows and remains as engaged as possible.
  • You will help grow Pennylane’s revenue by proposing new products and services while also contributing to customer retention.
  • You are responsible for developing the customer base: Identifying opportunities for new plans with existing customers (upsell), Offering our services catalogue to customers (cross-sell).
  • You help reduce churn and downgrade requests: Proactively contacting customers at risk of churn using our predictive algorithm (Health Score), Reaching out to customers who request cancellation to convince them to stay, Contacting customers who request to downgrade to persuade them to remain on their current plan.
  • You contribute to product and service improvement: Escalating customer feedback to our product development teams, Collaborating with different teams at Pennylane (CS, Marketing, Sales) to improve the services offered by Pennylane.

Requirements

  • Initial experience in complex sales in a role such as SDR or Business Developer, with an interest in developing account management skills.
  • Strong questioning and listening skills to detect and explore issues in depth.
  • An interest in technology is a plus, including familiarity with current fintech products on the market.
  • Experience selling to B2B SME decision-makers, preferably to CFOs/Finance Directors or other finance leaders.
  • Experience selling SaaS products is a plus.
  • English proficiency (level is assessed and appreciated depending on the department you apply to).
  • Enjoy working in a constantly changing environment.
  • Make collaboration a priority within your team and with other stakeholders.
  • Have the perspective to prioritize high-impact business actions in your day-to-day activities.
