About the role

  • HR Generalist managing hiring, onboarding, and employee relations at Pembroke & Co., a consulting firm. Engaging with clients and teams to drive HR initiatives with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment efforts both internally and for clients
  • Qualify candidates for desired skill set, culture, and competencies for current or potential positions through phone, virtual, or in-person interviews
  • Develop recruiting and lead generation/sourcing strategies to remain competitive and innovative
  • Update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and spreadsheets for candidate tracking records
  • Maintain and document billable hours for clients
  • Foster and maintain relationships with clients and candidates
  • Serve as point of contact for questions and support during the recruitment/interview process
  • Lead the on-boarding process for internal new hires
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve morale and retention
  • Partner with managers for performance management and evaluations
  • Administer and understand company benefits, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with company-wide events and projects, employee engagement activities, and other company-wide initiatives/projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-6 years of human resources experience required.
  • Experience working with external or internal stakeholders is a plus.
  • Knowledge and proven success utilizing MS Office applications, CareerPlug, ADP, and LinkedIn is preferred.
  • Enjoys interfacing with team members, clients, and candidates to build rapport.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and understand time-sensitive material.
  • Demonstrates discretion; understands the importance of sensitive and confidential material.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Understands federal and state laws; stays up to date with new regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
