About the role
- Network Security Consultant responsible for planning and securing corporate network solutions using Cisco and Palo Alto technologies. Focus on project implementation, including firewall migrations and SD-WAN security policies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and supporting network security solutions across multiple corporate environments.
- Focus on project implementations, including firewall migrations, network segmentation initiatives, and VPN deployments.
- Design and implement network security solutions aligned with the corporate architecture.
- Implement, upgrade, and perform migrations of Palo Alto firewalls.
- Configure and manage NAT, ACLs, security policies, VPNs (IPsec and Remote Access), and high availability (HA).
- Participate in SD-WAN projects with a focus on security policies, traffic segmentation, and secure connectivity.
- Execute project-related changes, including firewall upgrades and optimization of security rules.
- Conduct pre-deployment validations and post-deployment health checks.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
- Advanced knowledge of: ACLs, NAT, VPNs (IPsec and Remote Access), routing, and configuring high-availability (HA) pairs.
- Knowledge of Cisco networking fundamentals: VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, QoS (basic concepts).
- Experience with Cisco SD-WAN security features and policy management via vManage.
- Familiarity with IDS/IPS, advanced firewall inspection, and threat filtering.
- Experience with packet analysis tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
- Knowledge of ISE/NAC, segmentation frameworks, and Zero Trust concepts.
- Automation skills (Python, Ansible network modules, pyATS).
- Experience producing technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Advanced English proficiency.
