Support Solutions Engineer responsible for security investigations and automation at Netflix. Collaborating with teams across EMEA and the US/Canada to improve developer experience.
Responsibilities
Take ownership of complex security and privacy investigations, working through them end to end by navigating ambiguity, validating technical hypotheses, and providing clear, pragmatic guidance that helps engineering teams move forward efficiently.
Look beyond individual requests to identify systemic gaps and opportunities for improvement, turning recurring questions and failure modes into durable engineering assets.
Design and evolve automation, internal tools, documentation, and runbooks that scale knowledge and decision-making, influence how security and privacy are embedded into engineering workflows, and raise the reliability and effectiveness of our systems at scale.
Collaborate closely with teams across EMEA and the US/Canada, with core hours for this role set at 12:00–20:00 CET.
Requirements
Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise identity and authentication systems (e.g., Okta, SCIM, OIDC/OAuth2, SAML 2.0, FIDO2/WebAuthn) at scale, including expertise in passwordless authentication, phishing-resistant MFA, and device posture validation.
Background in supporting distributed cloud applications and securing cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency with security platforms and tools (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability management, IAM, secrets management).
Skills in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go), with hands-on experience in log analysis, incident response, and access management investigations.
Understanding of best practices in authentication, authorization, access management, and security monitoring.
Ability to adapt to changing situations, navigate ambiguity, and manage investigations from start to finish.
Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to identifying root causes, recurring issues, and recommending effective solutions for partner teams.
Interest in understanding how security products and platforms interact, and in leveraging engineering signals to drive improvements.
Ability to work independently, taking ownership of investigations from discovery through resolution.
Commitment to enhancing operational efficiency through automation, visualization, and process improvement.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and contribute to documentation.
Experience collaborating across distributed teams to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
Understanding of developer workflows and partner team needs, with a focus on improving user experience and operational outcomes.
