About the role

  • Training Specialist II responsible for training WIC staff at the Orange County Department of Health. Ensuring staff adherence to state procedures and coordinating training efforts.

Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for training new and existing staff of the Orange County WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Train new WIC staff on state mandated procedures.
  • Schedule and monitor agency-required training.
  • Instruct on agency procedures and assist with job-specific training scheduling and reporting.
  • Plans and creates new materials as needed.
  • Works in cooperation with Public Health Nutrition Consultants regarding the training of new nutrition staff.
  • Assists with the coordination of on-going training of nutrition and support staff.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for agency management.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of verifiable customer service experience
  • Two years of verifiable Florida WIC Information System and EBT (FL WiSE) experience
  • Requires current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • Must be a current DOH employee.
