Senior Financial Analyst managing financial models and strategic decisions at LISC, a community development organization.
Responsibilities
Forecast performance of LISC’s loan portfolio and leverage analysis to inform lending and capital planning strategies.
Build and maintain financial models that detail the organization’s operations and project future performance.
Perform scenario analysis of LISC’s multi-year financial trajectory including liquidity, alignment with financial covenants and other key performance measures.
Develop ad hoc models, analysis, and presentation materials to educate and inform decision-making processes of LISC leadership.
Prepare and deliver content for LISC’s asset liability committee; project-manage presentation materials with input from multiple teams, take meeting minutes, prepare and circulate agendas and meeting materials.
Support key aspects of the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process, analyzing and consolidating financial data.
Coordinate with department leaders across the organization to collect and validate data inputs for budget and forecasting.
Distill trends and prepare variance analysis to capture changes between actuals, budget, and forecast.
Maintain and implement any necessary process improvements in Adaptive, LISC’s budgeting and financial reporting tool.
Contribute discussion materials for executive committee and board of director meetings.
Project manage annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for certain LISC affiliates, coordinating between accounting and business units to deliver informed analysis to senior management.
Prepare quantitative analysis to support strategic decisions related to operating and fund affiliates.
Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, finance, economics, accounting, or related field is required.
6-8 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, accounting, banking, consulting, or related fields is required. Experience in the field of community development is preferred.
Excellent financial analytical skills. Deep understanding of financial modeling for borrowing and lending funds.
Fluency in financial statement analysis and synthesizing complex financial concepts for presentations.
Vision, energy, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
Excellent judgment, integrity, and professionalism.
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
Experience with Workday Adaptive financial planning software is a plus.
