About the role
- Financial Analyst providing financial and commercial input to investment decisions in a genomics technology company. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence strategic decision-making and provide revenue analytics support.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the USCAN Commercial Revenue Associate Director as it relates to budgeting, monthly forecasting, weekly revenue projections, reporting and analysis
- Assist with weekly, monthly & quarterly financial presentations for the USCAN Commercial team and CCO
- Act as the finance partner to the Strategic Growth Sales Lead, developing a deep understanding of the business and owning forecasting to support decision-making
- Partner with cross-functional business units as a key liaison to align on regional monthly forecasting while proactively identifying risks and upside opportunities
- Create process standardization and documentation for Revenue processes
- Create and manage routine analytics for projects and forecast cycles
- Develop analytics to derive market, customer segment, and specific customer insights on pricing/discounting, platform transitions, and market/customer type trends
- Provide support on other ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
- BS or BA in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- Biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred
- Strong business partnering, financial acumen, and communication skills
- Experience in a diverse, global environment
- Understand effective internal control environment
- Strong knowledge of financial modelling and analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- Superb verbal and written communication and project management skills
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Knowledge of Tableau, Cognos, TM1, SalesForce.com are a plus
