Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cloud spending to ensure transparency and cost control
- Create and maintain automated reports and dashboards for cloud financial management (focus: coordination & preparation)
- Identify and coordinate optimization opportunities in collaboration with cloud and IT teams
- Ensure compliance with budgetary targets, policies and governance requirements
- Maintain and apply tagging strategies for cost tracking and resource allocation
- Support audits and document cloud expenditures
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement and IT operations to improve cloud cost structure
- Advise business units on cost-efficient use of cloud resources
- Support forecasting and budget planning for cloud costs
- Develop and establish FinOps processes and standards
- Promote the FinOps mindset through training and stakeholder communication
- Analyze and leverage pricing models (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot instances)
- Support the design, development and implementation of AI-based solutions, especially with Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio
Requirements
- Degree in (business) computer science, IT management, finance or a related field
- Experience in cloud cost management and FinOps principles
- Knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Analytical skills and experience with reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Basic knowledge of IT governance and compliance
- Strong communication and advisory skills, with the ability to collaborate with Finance, IT and business units
- Team player with initiative and enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams
- Very good German and good English, both written and spoken
