About the role
- Director of Business Operations & Excellence at LendingClub aiming to enhance the financial health of members. Strategic leader across teams driving operational rigor and business planning with a focus on compliance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Partner with executive and functional leaders to drive annual and quarterly planning
- Translate enterprise and business unit strategy into clear operating plans with defined milestones, owners, and success metrics
- Own the business operating cadence, including weekly and monthly reviews, executive readouts, and KPI dashboards
- Develop and maintain metrics that track business health across growth, profitability, efficiency, and risk
- Design and improve end-to-end business processes to support scale, speed, and compliance
- Serve as a key connector across Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and Operations
- Build and lead a high-performing Business Operations function over time
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, finance, or related roles with increasing leadership responsibility
- Experience operating in a highly regulated environment such as fintech, financial services, banking, or payments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights
- Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Willingness to dive into the details to understand complex issues and drive execution
- Experience building and leading teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent work experience
