About the role
- Project Manager I managing electric infrastructure projects for public-owned and investor-owned utilities. Delivering engineering solutions while ensuring contract compliance and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Support project teams in completing engineering design for electric infrastructure projects (both public-owned and investor-owned utilities)
- Manage overall project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, and reporting
- Develop and implement recovery plans to maintain compliance with approved budgets and timelines
- Ensure full contract compliance and adherence to client requirements
- Drive deliverables by coordinating with Engineering Leads, Managers, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Maintain and document compliance with established quality control processes
- Serve as the primary interface with clients and internal management to resolve issues, track progress, and report costs, schedule adherence, and risks across programs
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, functional leaders, and support personnel
- Contribute to bid preparation, cost estimates, and RFP responses
- Manage monthly invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed deadlines
- Collaborate with teams to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant project management experience
- PMP Certification required; other formal continuing education/training in project management skills & concepts may be considered
- Proficiency with project management software (Workfront, MS Project, P6, or similar)
- Strong MS Office skills; advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.) preferred
- Proven experience managing project financials, scopes, and schedules
- Ability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts across multiple tasks
- Strong understanding of project financial planning, monitoring, and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
