Project Manager I managing electric infrastructure projects for public-owned and investor-owned utilities. Delivering engineering solutions while ensuring contract compliance and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Support project teams in completing engineering design for electric infrastructure projects (both public-owned and investor-owned utilities)
Manage overall project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, and reporting
Develop and implement recovery plans to maintain compliance with approved budgets and timelines
Ensure full contract compliance and adherence to client requirements
Drive deliverables by coordinating with Engineering Leads, Managers, and multi-disciplinary teams
Maintain and document compliance with established quality control processes
Serve as the primary interface with clients and internal management to resolve issues, track progress, and report costs, schedule adherence, and risks across programs
Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, functional leaders, and support personnel
Contribute to bid preparation, cost estimates, and RFP responses
Manage monthly invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed deadlines
Collaborate with teams to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
Requirements
Completed Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant project management experience
PMP Certification required; other formal continuing education/training in project management skills & concepts may be considered
Proficiency with project management software (Workfront, MS Project, P6, or similar)
Strong MS Office skills; advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.) preferred
Proven experience managing project financials, scopes, and schedules
Ability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts across multiple tasks
Strong understanding of project financial planning, monitoring, and reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
