Responsibilities
Assist the HR Manager with various functions, including recruitment, health and safety, employee relations, file stewardship, WCB administration, and training
Performance will be measured by the extent to which responsibilities have been fulfilled
Submit the monthly billing statement for group benefits to Payroll
Liaise with insurance carriers, WCB, and employees regarding claims
Monitor employee attendance and prepare accurate and timely attendance reports
Assist with the investigation and documentation of grievances and complaints
Assist with timely submission of WCB forms and Accident Investigation Reports
Requirements
College Diploma and 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment
Some post-secondary courses in human resources
5-7 years’ experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment
Computer literate
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Good interpersonal skills
Detail oriented
High level of organizational skills
Experience with filing systems and digitization
ADP experience is an asset
