Imaging Field Engineer 2 responsible for installation and maintenance of medical imaging equipment. Ensuring optimal performance and safety at customer sites with regional travel.
Responsibilities
Perform installation, calibration, and commissioning of a variety of GE Precision Healthcare imaging systems
Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) on imaging equipment according to established schedules and procedures to maximize uptime and extend equipment lifespan
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, breakdowns, and malfunctions on imaging systems
Execute corrective maintenance and emergency repairs promptly and efficiently to minimize impact on clinical operations
Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on the proper operation and basic troubleshooting of GE imaging equipment
Maintain accurate and detailed service records
Manage inventory of spare parts and tools
Collaborate effectively with sales, applications, and technical support teams to address customer needs
Adhere to all GE Precision Healthcare and customer safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development
Requirements
Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent military training
Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience servicing complex medical imaging equipment, preferably with GE Healthcare products
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair intricate electronic, mechanical, and software issues on high-end medical devices
Strong understanding of networking principles and IT infrastructure as it relates to medical imaging systems (PACS, DICOM)
Valid driver's license and a good driving record are required
Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards for medical devices (e.g., FDA, ISO)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and service management software.
