Responsibilities
Perform VDR Annual Performance Tests (VDR-APTs)
Conduct radio surveys and inspections
Install, repair, and maintain GMDSS communication equipment
Install, repair, and maintain navigational systems
Install, repair, and maintain VSAT satellite broadband systems
Work on retrofit projects, completing full bridge system installations and large-scale integrations
Requirements
Higher National Certificate (HNC), ONC, NVQ Level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Ideally educated or qualified in an IT or engineering-related field
Possession of a full, clean driving licence
Ability to pass a marine/offshore medical examination
Valid passport for international travel
At least 3 years of experience as a Marine Service Engineer
Strong knowledge of electronic and electrical engineering principles
GMDSS Radio Operator / Maintainer Licence preferred
