Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities for strategic, high impact, high risk projects.
- Work with sponsors, finance, the PMO and other key stakeholders to develop, gain approval and monitor compelling business cases for your projects.
- Lead projects from end to end, ensuring they are clearly scoped, well governed and delivered on time, to budget and to quality.
- Bring together cross functional teams, proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies, and maintain strong oversight of costs and resources.
- Provide clear, accurate reporting on progress and performance, and use your experience to drive continuous improvement and support the development of junior members of the team.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience of delivering complex, high-risk projects across people, process and technology.
- Extensive experience of applying project management disciplines in a pragmatic and flexible way, including detailed project planning, risk and issue management and maintaining business cases.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams.
- Demonstrable experience of effectively managing third party suppliers and delivery partners to ensure contractual performance, quality outcomes and value for money.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, secure decisions and clear present complex information in a clear and simple way.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
- A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile PM, APM or equivalent alongside practical experience of applying these frameworks.
