- Field Service Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing incinerator and food waste systems on vessels. Working independently or as part of a team in challenging marine environments.
Responsibilities
- You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and commissioning incinerator and food waste systems, carrying out both mechanical and electrical service work onboard vessels.
- You’ll provide professional technical support and customer service, prepare accurate job reports, and collect service data for analysis.
- The role requires flexibility, as you’ll work independently or as part of a team in challenging marine environments.
Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Valid passport, driver’s license, and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Comfort working onboard vessels, including confined spaces and non-standard schedules
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the marine industry
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and diesel burners is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Clear communication skills in English and a customer-focused, results-driven mindset
- Physical ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces
