Quality & Technical Intern assisting in various projects within BMW Aftersales Department. Responsibilities include support for Retailers, service publications, vehicle test fitments, and technical document preparation.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Technical Service, you will be responsible for assisting in a variety of projects within the Aftersales Department.
Direct & indirect support of BMW Group Retailers.
Review, creation and update of service publications.
Creation of periodical metrics based on service publication summary and service trends.
Vehicle test fitments and software validation.
Maintain department equipment, technical work area and special tools.
Departmental administration support.
Attend weekly technical group meetings and keep track of minutes, technical topics and campaigns.
Theoretical and practical technical applications.
Research information & prepare technical documents for internal & external parties (engineering, technical, suppliers, forensic investigations, legal, police services, etc.).
Requirements
Pursuing a University degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
Prior automotive experience is preferred.
Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively and multitask.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Well developed written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in both independent and team environments.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Developed computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Basic level understanding of programming logic and HTML web page design is an asset.
Business aptitude is an asset.
English/ French bilingualism is an asset.
A valid Ontario Class G driver’s license is required.
