Responsibilities
- You will support, advise and network with agricultural farms that keep pigs
- Lead training events and participate in projects related to pig farming
- Provide support, consultation and networking for pig farms
- Participate in projects on pig farming, e.g. GeSchwInD conversion consulting for farms with pig production
- Recruit pig-producing farms for Bioland
- Design and conduct educational events
- Prepare farm business analyses
- Write technical information for member farms and participate in specialist committees and trade fairs
- Act as the interface to marketers/distributors of organic pork
Requirements
- Strong affinity for organic farming, ideally with practical farm experience
- Enthusiasm for all topics related to pigs
- Degree in agricultural sciences (FH/University), an agricultural master certificate (Meister) or a comparable qualification
- Ideally, initial experience in agricultural consulting
- Confident manner, good communication skills and rapport with farmers
- Enjoyment in organizing a variety of event formats
- Independent and structured working style
- Enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge through presentations and articles
- Willingness to travel for work (driver's license required) for consultations, projects and events
