About the role
- Counselor leading dynamic group therapy sessions in a mission-driven recovery community. Advocating for member-centered care and collaborating with care teams to support recovery.
Responsibilities
- Lead 2–3 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
- Facilitate group discussions using a “plug and play” approach from approved modalities to meet members where they are within the guardrails of our clinical framework.
- Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
- Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
- Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.
- Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree
- Required licensure or certification: Behavioral health licensure including but not limited to: LCSW, LPC, LMHC, MCAP, LMFT, CAP with ability and willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states
- Minimum two years of experience leading group therapy in a SUD setting
- High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
- Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
- Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal proficiency preferred)
- Experience working in multilingual or multicultural environments is a plus.
